To find the direct link to an image, you must go to the web page of the image, then right click that image. In Safari, choose 'copy image address'. In Firefox, choose 'copy image location'. It should be something similar in Internet Explorer. You know you have the proper address if the URL ends with an image extension (like .gif, .png, .jpg).
I'm glad you're interested in helping out. Some notes before you get started:
Litmags.org magazine accounts have two main functions. The first is in the information you are making available through this form. The second, newer feature, is the broadcast feature. Once you have created your account, if you navigate to your magazine's listing, you will find two links in the footer of the page. One that says 'edit' and one that says 'broadcast'. The former will allow you to update your listing. The latter will allow you to broadcast updates such as calls for submissions or upcoming contests. Broadcasts are immediately posted to litmags' homepage, so they are a great way to draw attention to important news related to your magazine.
You may leave any part other than the name of the magazine and the format of publication blank, but keep in mind that this site is geared towards searching, so if you leave, for example, the % submissions accepted blank, then anyone who searches with that criteria will not see your magazine.
Subgenres and lit movements require that you distribute 20 points among the different genres. Use all the points. If your magazine only publishes long fiction, assign all the subgenre points to long fiction. If your magazine values all genres equally, then distribute the points equally, but remember, the more points you assign a category, the higher it will show up in searches for that category.
You may not enter hyperlinks in any of the fields that don't specifically call for them except for the "mission statement" field. If you do, they will be removed.
